Passion!

Do it with passion or not at all.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.

Hello Happiers! Who here in the Happier community watches “The Arrangement”? I’m watching last night’s episode and I’m really digging the episode. Love how she was put in the Institute For The Higher Mind which yay was good fro her regardless of how anyone of us may feel wanting to escape.

But she achieved something you’d call a breakthrough! Which makes me think about my progress with my mental health recovery! Really take some time to think more deeply, I’m so grateful for my experiences with my mental illness!

I’m so truly grateful because if I didn’t experience them, I wouldn’t have started practicing all the things like: gratefulness, mindfulness, meditation, mindful eating, other things as well as all those courses I’ve already completed here in the Happier app though I still have a lot of work to complete the “Gift of Self Compassion”!

I gotta look deep into my email inbox and find them and work where I started which was probably on Day 2!

When it comes to standing up for what we believe in, it can at some point get real serious fast enough. And to many people, may view it as going too far. But to me, I believe that isn’t correct on my belief logic.

If you stand up for something that you believe in, you stand up and believe in it no matter what and 24.7. So what how far we may bring it, nobody should bring any kind of shame, discrimination or anything at all.

You believe in something, you don’t back down, but you must also follow the ethical rules but don’t follow any that break your rules around your beliefs, values, priorities or anything else.

I may not agree with your point of view, I raised you to fight for what you believe in and you’re doing that! ~ Regina Vasquez

To me, it took me about 20.5 years to fully create the person I was always meant to be after so much that I’ve been through and experienced enough on those painful and traumatic levels. But to add to that, with all my experiences as I slowly started educating myself after the little ounce of education I got in my grade 12 health class, it came to me about turning my experiences particularly with mental health and mental illness into a career.

For about a year now as of May, I’ve come to share here that I’ve had the idea and more full in depth detail and consideration of pursuing in the “clinical mental health counsellor” career path definitely real soon. Though I’m still working on having enough courage and finding the right words to say when I plan on having the conversation with my parents but more serious than ever (as with how my mom is slowly educating herself in which I have no idea though there’s still a whole load of stuff both herself, my dad and my younger sister don’t currently know but can be greatly impacted by if they allow themselves to the new changes). As well as being uncomfortable which is a good thing in the process of change.

For me, I have found an increasingly great amount of passion with mental health as for my advocacy for it as well with my own mental struggles and issues with mental health and my mental condition. But with where I’m at with my life at this point, I do believe I need to work more towards planning that start with pursuing in the mental health/psychology field real soon as well as getting out in the public more other than spending time with family and hanging out at the cafe downtown and occasionally or so spending time with my friends.

I’ve been searching for opportunities to connect with those my age who live with mental illness and to also make greater uses of my advocacy, passions and purpose with mental health and the other parts of my purpose; more often and frequently other than just posting, tweeting online for mental health and writing inspiring, relatable, uplifting, encouraging blog posts on my blogs (Tumblr, WattPad, Medium and Wordpress).

Hope is that choice you make of holding onto something you want that takes some time to achieve and earn. It’s during those most hopeless moments in your life that at some point you find yourself holding on because of how badly you want that something.

And whatever that is, you’ll do whatever and chance whatever you are doing in the process to earn that something!

Imagine how you’d feel if you held on. Imagine how your life would look like and how those actions you made to earn and achieve whatever you wanted impacted your future?

Well isn’t it time to go make those changes and healthier and more positive choices that bring you closer to those things you want?

When it comes to making our voices heard, it’s not always easy nor do we get it right the first or few times with whatever we want to spread or share with others. But what is important and is reality; the part where we do get it right. Yeah so what we make 5+ mistakes or attempts before succeeding with whatever we wanna achieve, earn or gain from the work towards that goal.

But what happens, we need to be easy and kind to ourselves. Mental health matters and there’s no need nor isn’t necessary to even encourage others that it’s okay to beat yourself up when responding or reacting to certain situations or news. So yeah we all mess up and make mistakes, that’s part of being human. That’s human nature, it has nothing to do with what we did wrong, no one gets it right the first 5+ times and even after you succeed in attempt, don’t expect that to continue.

Sometimes we just need to go out and explore the world. Out on our own, be ourselves and express ourselves on a level where what others think including parents get in the way of our own real happiness.

We should stop putting the key to our own happiness in the wrong pockets. Happiness is an inside job. It’s time we put it back where it belongs. Our own happiness is our and only responsibility!
