Have you ever played Pictionary? I have not, and will not, because I cannot draw.

That’s a bit of a fib. I can draw to some extent. Unfortunately, I come from a family loaded with Drawing DNA. My oldest sister, the one who writes here, has a barrel full of it. Many of my childhood memories include her drawings, especially drawings of horses.

My father could draw, I assume his father could also, and I know that his grandfather could because he was an artist whose work still turns up for sale on the internet today!

My father’s sister also was an artist who taught art in the public schools where I grew up. She was very annoyed by my efforts in her class because she felt I must have inherited more talent than I exhibited.

All this creative ability made me very reluctant to attempt any type of drawing until I was much older. It also made me resist any attempt to drag me into a game of Pictionary.

But then came Dall-E and ChatGPT.

Medium

I never liked using Unsplash to get images for my writing. I could seldom find an image that truly matched what I wanted. If I did find one, it was almost always something…
