Walmart: The Good, the Bad, and the Greed

I wish I never had to shop there but it could be worse

A wide aisle inside a Walmart store, featuring shelves stocked with colorful bedding items, such as pillows, comforters, and kids’ bedding sets. The aisle is labeled “H 48” with signs for seasonal items visible in the background, along with a large Santa Claus decoration. Boxes and shopping carts are scattered further down the aisle, adding to the bustling retail environment.

I try not to shop at Walmart because I detest the owner’s politics. However, they often have things I cannot find at any other nearby store. If I can wait, I’ll order from Amazon, which is really dumb because I detest Bezos just as much.

Still, it’s well run

There are things I like about Walmart. Unlike every other store I shop at, I don’t have to ask anyone where to find anything. The Walmart app will tell me what aisle it is in. Unfortunately, where one aisle is in relation to others can be a little whacky at times, but you’ll find aisle M22 eventually because it will be somewhere near the other M’s. And they might be near the L’s and the N’s. No guarantee on that, though.

I like their self checkout bays. I know, stealing people’s jobs. Nope, I do not agree.

I like that they send me digital receipts. More and more places do that now, but there is so much more I wish…
