SKINCARE REVIEW || NEUTROGENA HEALTHY SKIN BOOSTERS FACIAL CLEANSER
Neutrogena is by far one of the most popular ‘drugstore’ brands in the skincare market so I don’t think they need much of an introduction, but the benefit of doubt, Neutrogena is a brand of the Johnson & Johnson family of consumer companies. The brand is known far and wide for its beauty and skincare products. They offer a seemingly endless selection of products. In this post I will be reviewing their Healthy Skin Boosters Facial cleanser.
Product description
The product is a facial cleanser that comes in a 266ml sized bottle with a regular pump dispenser. The bottle allows for a considerable amount of product which will afford you a good period of use. The size, while great in terms of the amount of product you get, fails when you consider if the product is travel friendly or not. It is not travel friendly, more so the pump that comes with the packaging does not lock, which means the product stands a good chance of spilling; I know I encountered this problem a few times.
The product claims to boost softness, radiance and evenness. It also is stated on the bottle that it would not over dry skin. On the bottle also we are told that the product contains white tea and vitamin E. other claims are made on the back of the bottle along with the directions for use and the ingredient list.
The product itself is a clear liquid which has quite a strong, albeit nice fragrance, I think it is worthy of note that fragrance is higher up on the ingredient list than the white tea and citric acid on the ingredient list.
The product has a reasonable amount of slip which I find pleasing and also a little goes a long way. It is a little bit thick in consistency which is not bad at all.
How I used this product
I used this product as the second step in my double cleanse as water based cleanser. I used it either in the morning or in the nighttime. I found it suitable for both times.
Performance
The product functioned well as a cleanser and when I used it my face came off quite clean. I found it to be less stripping than most Neutrogena cleansers I have tried previously, but it was still a bit stripping. Overall I did like the performance of this product.
Will I repurchase, maybe if I am really in need of a cleanser and I stumble upon it again, I can not say that I will be going out of my way to look for it.
Pricing
I bought this product for N4000 at a supermarket in Abuja.
