Favourite Action Shots: Lots of Speed and Splashing

I was on the beach on the Isle of Purbeck, trying to take action shots of what was going on. Dogs are wonderful photo subjects because they’re so full of enthusiasm. And no one gets angry because you’ve photographed their kid. Above is my shot of a dog retrieving his stick.

It was taken on the same day we nearly lost our beach tent in high winds!

Back home, we’re a short drive from a reservoir. I like to go there to photograph the birds. Here are some mallards fighting on the water. Boys will be boys! The ladies don’t do this!

I also like taking action shots at the zoo. This gorgeous Crowned Sifaka, a member of the lemur family, was spotted running across in the Madagascar enclosure at Cotswold Wildlife Park. These monkeys are fun to watch. They have lots of character and are endangered in the…
