Lufthansa A350

Lufthansa has taken a drastic action to organize its flights by allowing only the most expensive booking classes to be on sale for all Lufthansa flights within Europe and its international operations. This will severely affect anyone who wants to buy a short term ticket so in order to avoid this chaos book an Interrail Pass with Eurail in order to avoid paying hefty airline ticket prices.

As it stands right now a one way ticket from Frankfurt to Amsterdam costs 900 euros due to the fact that only Y(economy) and C (business ) class tickets are available. This pricing only applies to bookings done through Lufthansa.com and not through travel agencies or 3rd party travel sites ie. Expedia.com .

Lufthansa isn’t the only airline that has raised their prices KLM has also followed the trend by raising prices on a route where the usual ticket price is 150 Euros.

Will Prices Return to Normal?

With all the travel chaos currently happening at major airports in Europe its hard to say. If your planning on booking a vacation in Europe, looking for cheaper alternatives such as Ryanair or Norwegian Airlines or consider booking a Eurrail pass and explore Europe.
