It has been a long time (6 months!) since we presented the first part of our MVP to the world, and we think it’s time to tell you what we have worked on and how Primpy has grown and evolved during this period.

We thought that there is no better way to talk about a project rather than to talk to the person, whose daily task is to take care of the product and to improve it. Here is our interview with the Primpy Product Owner to understand, in what direction Primpy moves and how it has changed.

1. After the MVP.01 was launched, did you and the team feel like “it’s time to take a break”, or were you excited about continuing the project? Was it tiring to launch an MVP in such a short period of time?

Honestly, since we started working on Primpy, we never stopped, but it didn’t even occur to us: Primpy offers so many possibilities not only to users but also to the people who develop it.

Being such a big platform, every day we meet so many challenges like how to develop a thing or another, how to connect the various aspects (social networks, e-commerce, blockchain) into a whole. But the further we go, the more things we develop, the bigger is our desire to make Primpy the reference platform for fashion.

2. So what did you work on after the launch?

We were talking about two possible options for Primpy: one linked more to the commercial aspect of the platform, another — to the social one. There were so many discussions about it, but we said: “there are already so many e-commerce, we will not make a difference if we start like this”. And so we started thinking about what features allow us to make Primpy a social network, but for fashion.

First of all, we have created a text editor available to all registered users, so they will be able to write articles and share their knowledge of fashion and style. Other users can interact with these articles, by “liking” them; most appreciated articles have the opportunity to be published also in the magazine.

This also involved a restyling of the landing page: we gave more weight to the fashion magazine PrimpyMag and to our influencers and bloggers.

3. Which are the next steps for Primpy?

Now we are working on the “wardrobe”: users can upload items from their wardrobe, organising them and creating a real digital wardrobe. This will help the everyday problem we all struggle with: “What should I wear today?”. With all clothes digitalised and available for quick search, it will be fun and easy to find the right clothes.

Next, in the program, we have the creation of “outfits”: a mix of clothes from the users’ wardrobe, their wishlist and the Primpy database to help them plan the looks for every occasion.

We are also working on the algorithm to adapt and customise the contents that users will see on their homepage feed. We have already launched an “onboarding quiz”, where user can share their interests and preferences with us. We hope, that by December 2019 we will already have customised homepages for each Primpy user, where he will be able to see both the recent activities of his followings, but also advice and suggestions based on his preferences.

In the product roadmap, we also have “bounty program”, a system to help users discover the platform features and also earn something during regular actions, for example by writing articles or creating outfits for others.

Obviously, we haven’t forgotten the shops! We are now developing a simple and intuitive system to open your store at Primpy and present your style to the world. Because, Primpy unites everything in a phenomenal ecosystem: shops, influencers, users, everyone can interact in a thousand ways, with a single purpose — to explore the world of fashion.

Primpy is a community-driven fashion market where end-users and businesses benefit from transparency and usability powered by the blockchain tech.

By bringing together technology, retailers, service providers and customers, Primpy becomes a go-to place for desirable fashion items, services, opportunities, tips and trends — tailored to users and businesses.
