App.government Utopia
In a world where countries have created a combined government with the help of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), people find their needs solved by an App. The government app (only available for ios) takes care of providing people with all their basic necessities . In this utopia, Hacking Labs leverages its connecting, engaging and provocative designs to help people make new connections and find their tribes.
As machines have taken care of all our needs. People are no longer required to spend time on mundane activities like grocery shopping or running errands. Interactions between people has minimized and rituals have disapired. With the
Cities have started to become less populated and people are more interested in spending time in natural environments. In only a couple years, Alemany farm, evolved from a small neighborhood garden, to a full production farm. While the mayority of the visitors and voluntiers are still elder citizens, its delightfull gardens are attracting younger crouds, interested in meeting and collaborating with neighbors.
4. History of How this Future Happened
The 3D printer boom of 2018 gave anyone with only a couple square feet of land the capacity to grow food, without any work or maintenance. The supermarkets industry had to quickly adapt, since most fresh produce stop selling. The algorithms brought by A.I. also impacted the way people invested and the final switch to EarthCoin a criptocurrency backed up by land switched the perception of welath to a completly sustainable standpoint.
It was not untill 2025 that research on DNA confirmed that the human diet should be plant based. This finalized the desition of the Government App to become the bigest provider of organic sustanable edible plants.
When I was getting my BFA in Industrial Design at CCA, life was more spontaneous and that brought excitement. The speed at wich systems became flawless and transactions automated, left a feeling of dissatisfaction in everyday activities. While things worked faster, people became less needed.
I remember from my comute to school a distinct division in class withing a very small neighbors. I noticed car dwellers and homeless people to be more connected to their environment than the householders. Wile some worked harder to get their land others preferred to not own.
