Ceres Promotoras Events

This month, the Ceres Promotoras, community outreach workers who work to promote good mental and physical health in the Latino community, held two special events.

A La Gala Para Mujeres

Earlier this month, the Promotoras held a Red Dress Gala in Spanish for women to learn about heart health. The women enjoyed learning about community resources, heard a wonderful speech about ways to maintain your heart health and had fun eating lunch and dancing together. See more pictures here.

Celebrar Mi Bienstar En El Dia De Las Madres

For Mother’s Day, the Promotoras held an event called “Celebrate My Well-Being on Mother’s Day.” The women who attended enjoyed a nice lunch, spent time with their kids and other mothers in the community, heard a wonderful speech about the importance of self-care for their mental health and watched a hilarious clown. See more pictures from the event here.

The Ceres Promotoras hold classes daily at the Center for Human Services (CHS) Ceres Partnership. For a schedule of classes and to learn more click here.
