This month, we’re inspired by the high school students who participate in the Stanislaus chapter of Friday Night Live program. Friday Night Live is a youth development and advocacy program for teenagers that helps them build partnerships, get connected to community resources and spread the word about issues facing young people their own age in our community.

One of the issues that Friday Night Live students tackle is underage drinking. The students spent a good portion of their school year designing a billboard to discourage students from drinking. This month, the billboard was put up on Maze Boulevard! We are so proud of these students and their hard work. Even at their young age, they are making our community a better place to live.

Click here to read a great article from the Modesto Bee about the billboard. Click here to watch a video the Friday Nigh Live students made about their experience in the program. Visit our website here to learn more about Friday Night Live.
