Although it’ll be some time before the Metaverse is integrated into our everyday lives, we’re already seeing creative use cases.

After gaming, concerts are now taking place in the Metaverse. Prominent artists like Adriana Grande, Travis Scott, and Marshmello have teamed up with Fortnite to put on shows of unprecedented global scale and revenue in the virtual world.

Back in November 2018, long before most of us had heard of the Metaverse concept, Marshmello made history. He performed the first in-game concert ever to take place! The venue was the 200 million-member gaming platform Fortnite.

Millions of people watched the performance of the American electronic music producer and DJ. The audience enjoyed the event and the avatars danced on and around the stage.
