Astrology of January 2024
Congratulations on surviving a Mercury retrograde during the holiday season!
Mercury stationed direct at 22 degrees Sagittarius yesterday and is currently in conjunction with Mars.
When Mercury was stationing retrograde, we had the chance to reflect on our goals and dreams — and how much these two aligned.
Mercury will be in its shadow period for another two weeks. Even though this Mars conjunction might make us a little impatient to take action (especially about things we have reflected on during Mercury’s retrograde), there might still be room for delays and miscommunication until January 22.
New Moon in Capricorn will arrive on January 11. This new moon is next to Pluto, which will intensify the moon’s square to the nodes, but the ruler of the moon, Saturn, has sweet aspects with both Jupiter and Mars. We will have the chance to consider taking “planned risks” after this full moon that will help us climb a ladder, whatever that ladder means for us.
Pluto enters Aquarius on January 21, right after the sun enters Aquarius. The first Pluto cazimi in Aquarius marks an important point for Pluto’s stay in Aquarius until 2043.
Venus will enter Capricorn on January 23. Love is about commitment and determination!
We will end the month with Full Moon in Leo on January 25. The ruler of this full moon will form a harmonious trine to Uranus and Mars. This is a cheerful and high-energy full moon that ties back to the summer (let’s accept, last summer’s Leo season was not that fun with all that Venus retrograde — but this full moon is a celebration of surviving that summer!)
