Mercury Stations Retrograde in Capricorn until January 2

Mercury retrogrades have always been a slap in the face to the hustle culture. This time, though, it is in Capricorn — an even bigger slap. Capricorn is about building. Moving towards a goal slowly and patiently. It is about our ambition and discipline.

Mercury retrograde starts on December 13 with nice aspects of Jupiter. Especially on December 18 when Mercury retrograde catches Jupiter at the exact degree and forms a powerful trine. A goal we once had but had to give up might make its way to our minds again for a second chance.

Especially on December 22, when the sun enters Capricorn, it will conjunct Mercury retrograde at 0 degrees. We plan on building something big, but first, we need to revise our goals, public image, and necessary discipline and ambition to achieve something in the long run. On that day, the moon will also be in conjunction with Jupiter. These earthy harmonious aspects we have not been feeling since the Virgo season will make us feel more grounded and stable even though we still feel like actions that need to be taken to “achieve” something should be observed for a while.
