New Moon in Capricorn Arrives Thursday

What if embodying spirituality meant being aligned with your ambitions to serve your community in the best way possible?

I remember being deeply offended when I first read the description of Capricorn. As a Capricorn rising, I was told that others see me as a cold, distant, ambitious, traditional and a materialistic person.

How boring. Nothing I’d rather be.

After studying the archetypes better, I learned that Capricorn is ruled by Saturn–the planet that rules linear time and responsibility.

Capricorn was the opposite sign of Cancer, which taught us to be responsible for our emotions. With Capricorn, we learned to be responsible for our actions.

Is there anything more spiritual than being responsible for your actions?

Capricorn rules the knees–so we can climb up.

Capricorn rules the skeleton system — so we would not fall apart.

Capricorn rules the skin — so we can make our boundaries clear.

Capricorn is the sea goat — who is in touch with both reality and the vastness and depth.

New Moon in Capricorn arrives on Thursday morning, forming a trine to the innovative Uranus. What does your heart want to achieve? What can you do differently to achieve it?
