New features make it even easier to share what’s in stock in your neighborhood

OurStreets is available today with updated supply types, new search, and an improved sharing flow to make it easier than ever to share what’s in stock in your neighborhood.

Sharing what’s in stock is a meaningful way to help the people around you right now.

Users in 43 states and Washington, D.C., have used OurStreets to share what’s in stock with their neighbors. Tens of thousands of people across the country have used the more than 7,000 individual reports to help them plan safer and more efficient shopping trips.

The OurStreets team has been working hard to make it even easier to be a good neighbor and share what you find when you’re making an essential shopping trip.

When you open OurStreets this weekend, you’ll notice some changes.

🛒 New Supply Types

We’ve added high-demand and hard-to-find items, like paper towels and disinfecting wipes, to our supply types so you can more accurately share what you see in stores.

Because of our partnership with Data Society, if you share something else that isn’t already categorized, we’ll use data science techniques to identify what you’re sharing for future supply type updates.

📍 See what others have found in stock anywhere

Our new Supplies Search lets you search through our user-generated reports near any address in the country. We think this is an incredibly useful tool to help people plan better shopping trips, whether they need to head across town or help your loved ones in another state make their safe shopping plan.

And don’t forget, the OurStreets Supplies map is available to see reports from users anywhere — no download required.

⏱ Save Time, Stay Safe

We’ve improved navigation and simplified the flow when you’re sharing what’s in stock to save you time. We’ve also created an easier to use time confirmation screen and made it even more clear that photos are always optional.

And remember, you don’t need to be in or near the store to share what you saw. Stay safe by quickly updating what was available as you’re unlocking your bike before your ride home, or from the comfort of your couch once you’re there.

We think these updates make it easier for you to share what’s in stock. It’s an easy way to help others plan and make only essential shopping trips.
