Thanksgiving is a time for overstuffing ourselves with turkey and all the fixin’s. Why not add to the indigestion with a collaborative film noir-style mystery about writing, chili dogs, taco trucks granola bars and more? It’s a gas, both literally and figuratively.

Announcing a new publication, Out of Ideas, Out of Time, a place where collaborative stories go to lose momentum and disappear in a tiny dust devil in the middle of the desert.

We invite all writers to join our intrepid team of Karen Fayeth, P.G. Barnett. Mark Starlin, John K Adams, Terrye Turpin, and Dan Leicht to add your two sense.

Having read the works of so many writers on this site, imagine how many directions we could take the story if…

Roy submitted a chapter as a cartoon

Mike Range wrote a chapter from the perspective of a cactus (a very expensive, federally protected one, of course)

Roz Warren wrote a chapter involving a horde of ravenous Corgis attacking the protagonist

Jack Preston King wrote a chapter where aliens or religious figures (up to him) intervened with their powers

Donna Barker wrote a chapter about the naturalness of any and all sexual acts when committed by consenting hot dogs and tacos

Gutbloom wrote a chapter about whatever dreck emerges from his subconscious, because he’s the Tribune of Medium.

T.S. Johnson wrote a chapter because we like big buttes (don’t jump to conclusions — the story takes place in the American Southwest) and we cannot lie

Stephen M. Tomic wrote a chapter about the psychological effects being kidnapped.

Tre L. Loadholt wrote a chapter entirely in free flowing verse

…anyway, you get the idea.

Happy Thanksgiving!
