An introduction
OOS is a collective of curious minds, observing the shaping and shifting of our built environments and experiences (whether physical, digital or phygital). And how theses spaces respond to new needs and behaviours.
We are profound optimists. We geek-out at big thinking. Especially when it leads to nimble ideas.
Just as we have the power to transform our environments, spaces have the power to transform us. (Or, at the very least, our physical or emotional states).
With our founding group of practicing Spatial Designers we unpick the reciprocal dynamics between People, Place and Meaning (which as Narrative Designers we actually refer to more specifically as the Story). One of the biggest, and most promising, new movements we’re observing is one where spaces have this ‘transformative’ effect. Where the search for fulfilment and self-actualization is taking centre stage.
How can brands meaningfully respond to a society seeking purpose, and shouting for new ways to belong?
In partnership with leading Experiential Marketeers we hone in on the vast potential for brands within this transformative landscape. Unearthing how these shifts might create opportunities for brands to make a positive impact.
Whilst being fascinated (and slightly obsessed) by the innovative environments and experiences constantly taking shape around us, we also believe that, to design and build a better future for us all, brands can (and should!) take a stand. They have a responsibility within our societies to dig deeper. To aspire to thrive whilst making a genuine difference. We may be idealists but, yes - this is certainly possible.
