Out of the Woods

Reflection

Photo by Pietro De Grandi on Unsplash

I am his wife.

I am their daughter-in-law.

I am different.

I am a failure.

I am inferior.

I am a disappointment.

I am fast.

I am scared.

I am small.

I am ugly.

I am silenced.

I am terrified.

I am awake.

I am delirious.

I am crazy.

I am dependent.

I am exhausted.

I am unprepared.

I am undesirable.

I am intimidating.

I am divisive.

I am inconvenient.

I am not confined to the views of other people.

I am able to humble myself.

I am standing for something.

I am assertive.

I am wanted.

I am spontaneous.

I am human.

I am a survivor.

I am shaped by my experiences.

I am able to set limits.

I am paying attention.

I am guarded.

I am finding my voice.

I am the work of God’s hands.

I am learning to take up space.

I am vivacious.

I am breaking the mold.

I am worthy.

I am a work in progress.

I am different.

I am my father’s daughter.

I am free.
