White blew across the blue
like lucent paint on sky
and one was shaped like you
with head and breasts and thigh

You said it could have been
any girl I ever knew
but in that cloudy heaven
I saw only you

You who sailed across my sky
when I was seventeen
and before you said goodbye
vanished from the scene

A variant of Cloudy You was published in Summer 2018 issue of The Lyric. This is the original version.
