Dir. Ana Lily Amirpour

“In the Iranian ghost-town Bad City, a place that reeks of death and loneliness, the townspeople are unaware they are being stalked by a lonesome vampire.”

So stylish, so beautiful, and lived up to every expectation I had. Such an intricate snapshot of a much greater, twisted love story. I’m really glad that the film didn’t simply deliver a satisfying story; ones that give you everything you need, it genuinely leaves you wishing there were a sequel to watch already or an extra hour of the film to go. These are the best kinds of stories, I think. The ones that either leave you with questions or leave you wanting to know where the characters go and what happens to them. I’m excited to see what Ana Lily Amirpour does next.
