Abortions are outlawed more often than any other health care service outside of physician-assisted suicide — is this good policy?

On paper, abortion is legal in every state across the United States. Every state has at least one clinic offering abortion services, but the issue remains one of the most controversial topics in American politics and society. As a result, whether abortion should be — or functionally is — illegal in the United States is a question on everyone’s minds as we round the corner on the 2020 election season.
