The Story Of OutPax 2.0

Everyday is an exciting day in OutPax. At the start of the day, we always feel there is something to be discovered. This flow of enthusiasm has never run out of supply.

How’s that? Here’s one secret of ours. Every time we take ourselves outside of boxed spaces, our active minds will always be rejuvenated.

When we launched in August 28, 2015, we feel that we have not conveyed a very important message — that the outdoors gives a total benefit for all.

And so 2 weeks after, we go back to our drawing board with one major purpose: to deliver OutPax to everyone. It was a domino effect. One big revision causes another and another until it was a total overhaul.

The New Color & Logo

The look of a red orange, tattered font logo conveys extreme and adventure. This was reinforced with the tagline, “Live To The Fullest.” We thought it would create a sense of curiosity and eventually drive everyone to exceed themselves.

On contrary, it created an impression of exclusivity and omitted a huge segment of the population — those who are not introduced to outdoor activities and those who have just started appreciating it. Instead of bridging, we seclude. We created the wrong perception.

So we tone down the boldness. From red orange to orange. Still the color of active living but on the basic hue. From tattered font to simple lines that everyone can connect to. Then we put a circle to denote that OutPax is an open community.

The Orbiter

The compass-shaped icon inside the circle is called the Orbiter. It’s the core symbol of OutPax. It denotes an all-directional approach towards healthful living.

The New Tagline

We want OutPax to be part of our daily lives. Not a luxury but a basic need. We believe OutPax is a necessary ingredient in this digital age. When we are all dosed of demanding and health-hazardous work environment, OutPax is the stress medicine.

The new tagline, “Live. Be Active.” expresses a straightforward message that summarizes our ultimate goal — OutPax addressing the most fundamental need of every human. That is to live.
