Outtalent is about helping people from emerging markets realize their potential on a global scale, despite conscious or unconscious biases they may face because of their country of origin.

We have always known that women from those countries faced additional challenges, but after running our program for 2 years we noticed an extremely low number of applications coming from women. When they finally decided to apply, we would often hear stories of resilience and strength dealing with gender discrimination throughout their careers.

Parallel to that, we have also known that businesses worldwide were increasingly interested in hiring female engineers for the value that they bring, a fact that was repeatedly backed by research of many world-renowned organizations such as Harvard.

Knowing there would be value for both sides, and that we feel strongly about this topic, we felt uniquely positioned to help.

Outtalent Wonder is our women-only, 9-month online program of weekly meetings, seminars, and one-on-one mock interviews and mentoring. Using our systematic approach, ongoing support, and guidance, we will help female developers start new lives as Software Engineers in companies like Google and Facebook in Europe and the US.

Our business model is about investing in very promising people, in a similar way venture capitalists and accelerators invest in startups: fellows only start paying for Outtalent only if and after they land a full-time job at one of the top technology companies they targeted even before starting our program.

Through linking our own success to our fellow’s, we think they fully comprehend how “in it” we are since we will not get paid if they don’t get what they want. This is how confident we are about everyone who joins: we are ready and willing to take the fall for them and not get any money for the months we spent preparing them in the very odd case they don’t get it. We believe this kind of confidence will bring incredible results to our female fellows, who often lack this kind of support.

Having said that, we are happy to announce that until May 9th we will be accepting applications from:

  • Women from Russian-speaking countries
  • Who can successfully articulate their thoughts in English
  • Who have basic Computer Science knowledge, such as common data types and data structures, and object-oriented programming principles
  • Who have already had an internship or equivalent experience

If you know people who meet these criteria, please ask them to fill out this form (https://outtalent.com/check). Please note that this is the same form we use to receive all other applications, regardless of gender, so if you think someone you know may benefit from a program like ours, you can share this form with them.
