By embracing our inner Parisienne, we can:
- lose the belly and stay in control of our weight as we get a little older;

Now, I can feel your scepticism, but don’t worry, this approach has nothing to do with the French cliché of smoking 20 cigarettes a day, living on espressos and carrying tiny dogs around in a handbag…
Instead it’s about how French women deal with delicious food (and drink).

When the book French Women Don’t Get Fat was written around 10 years ago, I remember it caught my eye as the title was so abrupt. But it’s a great little book!
The main thrust of it covers the ‘French Paradox’, whereby French cuisine, famous for being rich, creamy, buttery, cheesy, carby, didn’t seem to lead to the same levels of obesity and heart disease as in the UK and North America.
