The right fit.

Our company is driven by a set of core values. Those values impact which projects we take on and ultimately if they will be a good fit.

  1. People.
More than anything else, it’s important that we connect with the stakeholders of the proejct. This can be hard to decipher over an email or project inquiry form. For us it usually takes a phone call or meeting in person. Sometimes we aren’t absolutely confident that it will be a perfect fit, but we almost always know instantly if it’s going to be a bad fit.
  2. Interesting and relateable.
If we can’t see ourselves using the product or there isn’t some interesting technical problem it likely won’t be the right fit. The reality is we know ourselves and if we can’t get passionate about the project we will likely not find the best solutions for the product. Finding the best solutions requires digging deep and digging deep requires a drive and passion.
  3. Subject matter.
Our families and our personal values are an important part of our company. The work that we do needs to be something we’d proudly show our kids. Sometimes this means we turn down lucrative work and we’re okay with that.
  4. Reasonable.
The budget and timeline need to fit the scale of the work for the project. Also, if there are requirements for meetings twice a week and pounds of paperwork we’re probably not the right team. We like to keep things simple and ship great work.
  5. Great work.
There has to be an expectation for shipping great work. This takes commitment on both sides of the project. If the expectation it to just quickly ship something to meet a deadline or some internal goal we’re likely not the team. Our constant goal is to deliver products that people love to use.

Get in touch if you have a project you want us to look at and think that we would be a good fit; we’d love to hear more about it.
