Spring and Fall dirt bike trips are starting to become a tradition. This October we got some of the crew together for a weekend of riding at Rock Creek OHV area. We had a sweet campsite and enjoyed the wide variety of trails. Rock Creek is unique because it covers the transition from Mt Hood forests to the high desert. It’s got tight twisties through the young thick evergreens, long straight high speed stretches in the “green tunnel”, open duffy trails in large old growth trees and the dry wide open stretches of the high desert. We did 70 miles in two days and only encountered 4 other people on trail.

Three quarters of us were on newer Husquvarnas which absolutely ripped. These relatively small cc engines deliver a ton of smiles. I also picked up a small pair of GiantLoop panniers which made carrying the basics a breeze.

It’s not a motorcycle trip unless someone is having to do something to some bike.
Remember: EXIT ONLY!
Drying out damp wood. There was a ton of wood already at our campsite.
