I never realized most “mountain biking” trails are actually “hiking” trails until I rode Sandy Ridge. This fantastic trail system was purpose built for biking. More “smiles per mile” than anything I’ve ever encountered. Climb up the main road as high as you like then drop into the forrest and hang on. Berms, jumps, drops and more.
We spent Saturday and Sunday climbing and up and bombing down. Instead of heading back to Portland for the night we explored the Western side of Mt. Hood. After searching around a bit we found a spot with an amazing view of Mt. Hood. Little did we know that we were in the perfect spot to catch the moonrise…
