Back to where we started: the podcast

We have a podcast!

(Well, we’ve had it for a while, but took a brief hiatus.)

Our first episode was recorded in early September, 2015. For the next four months, every Wednesday, our glasses were filled with wine or a signature cocktail (which, TBH, we were often overserved—but there were no complaints). Danny, Molly, and I recorded it after work hours, from a closet in the Spright office’s conference room. That studio still lives!

This is not that studio, and this is not sponsored by Sam Adams Brewing. I’m just an unapologetic fan of Summer Ale.

It’s called “Overserved,” as you might expect, and only a few things have changed. We have a new format and we’re down to two podcasters (Molly and myself). Sometimes we’re both in that conference room’s corner closet, recording together. Sometimes I’m on the east coast, toasting Molly from afar.

Rarely are we as overserved now, but we take full responsibility either way. It happens.

Things you can expect to hear:

  • Oh, the humanity (A recurring segment. You’ll see.)
  • Heather: a little late to pop culture, increasingly disenchanted with health and nutrition news headlines
  • Molly: a startup co-founder, entertainment enthusiast, and prolific Twitter prowler
  • Overserved: on the verge of jaded. We’re chatting about societal norms we’ve settled for, repetitive “tips and tricks” to improve your health, and the occasional thing we take umbrage with (e.g. the stigma of divorce, how to stay “healthy” over holiday weekends, saying you’re “too old for” basically anything, etc.).

Are you feeling overserved with something, too? Tell us. Let’s chat.

Find “Overserved” where podcasts live

The episodes will be on iTunes soon, but are now available for all (iOS, Android, and internet-users alike) on Soundcloud. We’re taking requests for topics—pop culture things I should catch up on, Twitter accounts we should be following, and/or things you feel largely overserved by. Send them over! Or give us a call, text, or email. We trust you’ll find us, somehow.

Fair warning: there are a few f-bombs, and topics mildly inappropriate for young ears.
