OVERTAKE June AMA Recap: TGE, Games, and Yapping
OVERTAKE team hosted Discord Townhall on June 25th, with KB (Head of Business Development) and DW(Community Lead) as speakers to bring news to the community and have a quick chat. Here’s a recap of the Discord Townhall.
TGE & Token-Related Updates
- TGE Timing: The Token Generation Event (TGE) is confirmed to take place within this summer. While the exact date remains under wraps, the team emphasized that preparations are well underway.
- Token Audit: The audit process for $TAKE has already been completed.
- CEX Listings: Discussions are ongoing under NDA. No specific exchange names or dates were disclosed.
- Tokenomics: Final details will be shared closer to TGE.
Somnis: Rumble Rush Updates
Sweep Ticket Pricing & Balance Update
The price of Sweep Tickets has not increased directly. Instead, the new package offers significantly more gold, making the updated price reflective of its value.
Gem packages have also changed — users now receive more than double the gems for the same price as before.
Consolidation of the shop into fewer packages may have created the impression of price inflation.
Concerns from Users Without IAP Access
- Players in regions without in-app purchases currently face longer campaign grinds (up to 3 hours without Sweep Tickets).
- The team acknowledged this and confirmed that more Sweep Tickets will be made available via content and event rewards soon.
- The Battle Pass now offers several times more Sweep Tickets than previous methods.
Declining Game Engagement
- iOS availability for Somnis: Rumble Rush has been restored. The prior dip in iOS user participation skewed perceived matchmaking and activity levels.
- Android user numbers remain strong, and with iOS back, engagement is expected to normalize.
- Upcoming content updates will introduce new special skills and ongoing NFT card balance adjustments to ensure that every card maintains a unique and valuable role.
Community Participation — Yapping & Discord
Kaito Program (“Yapping”)
- The Kaito program will run in three phases:
Phase 1: From June 20 until TGE, allocating 0.4% $TAKE to the Top 50 English and 20 non-English Yappers.
Phases 2 & 3: Post-TGE, each will last one month, allocating 0.05% $TAKE to the Top 50 Yappers.
Why only 50?
- To increase competition and maximize impact for standout contributors.
Discord Level 40 Rewards
- Early participants received AP rewards. More rewards are planned in upcoming waves.
- However, the team noted that Yapping (via Kaito) offers greater rewards than leveling in Discord alone.
- Discord level is seen more as a general achievement, while Kaito’s algorithm provides a more nuanced view of Web3 influence.
