Attention, Citizens of Overvio…

It’s time for the next journey.

It’s been fun, but we have to say goodbye 👋

TL;DR Overvio is no longer supported and will shut down in Q2 ’18. We thank our customers for this amazing time.

Overvio was built to build smarter. As a team of developers we had been looking for the best tools as to constantly improve our work. We wanted to create the missing link between GitHub and project shipping. No such solution existed at that time, Overvio helped us a lot, which is why we decided to develop and share this tool with you. But it’s time to bid farewell…for now.

Thank you for the last few years and the trust you’ve put in our platform. We hope it was worth it. As with many teams — including some of our own — migrating to GitHub Projects, we feel there is too much of an overlap between our platform and the services provided by GitHub itself. We haven’t succeed in establishing a sustainable business model, and in turn no longer find the product sustainable.

There is also a meaningful BUT. While we no longer support this platform, it’s still possible for Overvio to return to service one day. We don’t want to make any promises, it’s not that we have been mauled by a grizzly bear — no worries about that. A constant search for improvements is our inevitable fate, and as soon as we find a better solution you will be first to know.

The service will remain operational until the 31st of March 2018, but with very limited support. All the data is in your possession, nevertheless do contact us if you believe we should allow additional data to be exported.

It’s never easy to say goodbye, nevertheless it was a fantastic journey. To all of our customers and every person involved:

— THANK YOU! —
