We also have some exciting news about a big contest called the ARKathon. Whether you have been with us all year or just joined, this newsletter has something special for everyone. The ARKathon is Here!

Get ready, ARK modders and game studios, because the ARKathon Mod Contest is officially underway! With a whopping $350,000 prize pool, this is your chance to showcase your creativity and skill.

Here is what you need to know

• Submissions Start: December 5, 2023
• Modders Track: Aimed at individual modders to create maps, dinos, structures, and more. Eight winners will share $50,000.
• Studios Track: Tailored for game studios to bring original content and IP to ARK:SA. Three studios will win $100,000 each for Premium DLC-level mods.

How to Enter

• For Modders: Download the dev kit, create your mod, and upload it.
• For Studios: Submit a concept video, showcase your vision and team. Playable demos are a plus!

Timeline

• ARKathon Starts: December 5, 2023
• Submissions End: February 5, 2024
• Community Voting: February 12–24, 2024
• Winners Announced: February 28, 2024

Even if you’re not an author, you can participate by voting for your favorite mods and DLC videos during the grand finals.

🔍 On the Hunt

• Website File Dependencies — We are currently working on adding file dependencies as requested by many authors.
• App Search Improvement — We are continuing to improve the search suggestions in the CurseForge app (we added mod loaders to the suggestions in the latest release).
• Author’s Console — We have started beta testing the new console with a closed group of authors, features focused on adding the ability to create and edit pages through the console and improving based on your feedback.
