TL;DR

  • We’re delaying the deprecation of the old API until Monday, May 16th.
  • The alpha client for Linux is now live!

Changes in depreciation schedule for the old API

As many of you are aware, we’ve been planning to officially deprecate the old API on Monday, May 9th. We have decided to move that date to May 16th in order to best scale server load and make sure we provide a stable system.

We will do everything possible to make sure the Official API is stable and ready for the planned switch by May 16th. This will have no impact on any current projects that have already migrated to the new API.

Linux client alpha release

We are also announcing that the long-awaited Linux client is officially live.

It is in Alpha state, so expect bugs which will be fixed. You can find a list of known issues in the Linux client in our knowledge article here.

If you encounter any other issues, please let us know via a support ticket.

In this phase, the Linux client only supports WoW.

Grab the client here.
