We’re happy to announce that the new CurseForge website will officially launch on April 18th 🎉

Our teams are preparing for the launch to make the experience as smooth as possible. As many of you know, the ‘old’ website, which is an old legacy from Twitch, experienced load issues and often down times. This is part of the reason why we’ve been working so hard to switch to the newly created website.

Some features and fixes are still underway, but the team is working on it around the clock!

What will happen on April 18:

The address `www.curseforge.com` will lead to the new website (current beta website), the old website will still be available for as long as needed to reach feature parity with the new website, with all its features on a legacy domain. There will be banners on both sides, directing to each other.

Items that should be implemented before the launch:

  • Comments functionality — Done
  • Manage Project buttons — Done
  • Alpha Files support for non-logged in users — Done
  • Notifications(showing toast) — Done
  • Project Download count sync — Working on it
  • Edit your CurseForge display name — Done
  • Full Profile options menu links— Working on it
  • Mobile support — Done

Items that will be implemented later on:

  • New “Relations” tab
  • Additional login options
  • Full implementation of Notifications and DM screens
  • UI/UX improvements
  • And more…

We’re glad many of you who used the new website so far liked it, and for those of you who didn’t, please bear with us as we’re still improving it and the goal is mutual — having a stable, fast and easy to use place for your modding needs.

For feedback, you’re more than welcome to write on our Ideas Portal, please keep it to 1 idea per post, and make sure to look for existing ideas before you submit a new one, increasing votes on existing ones is better 😉

Thank you and happy modding! ❤️
