Restaurant Reviews in a Nutshell
For my first restaurant review, the great Sake Lounge. Sake lounge is my all-time favorite restaurant. They serve delicious Japanese food. Like hot dishes, sushi, and sake. If you are not a fan of Japanese food, Sake Lounge may not be the place for you. However, they do have cooked foods like sesame chicken which can be a great alternative for people who don’t enjoy uncooked foods like sushi. Usually when I go, I always order the huge boat of sushi. The boat of sushi is perfect for families who want to order a large variety of sushi. One of my favorite things about Sake Lounge is how they present the food. When my family decides to go to Sake Lounge, we always order the boat. The presentation of the food is amazing. As seen in the picture below!
Sake lounge is the ideal restaurant for family dinners, dates, watching a sports game or just a casual lunch. Because the name has “Sake” in it, which is the Japanese word for “liquor”, the restaurant has a huge bar. The bar’s located in a separate part of the building which is very convenient for the louder crowd of customers who want to watch a sports game, grab some drinks and be more rowdy. Most of the time when I eat at Sake Lounge, I go for a late dinner. just because I enjoy the dark atmosphere the restaurant has a night. Sake Lounge has a nice and soothing atmosphere, making it a fun and chill place to eat. The lights are dimmed while they play calming music to keep you interested in eating there. Going for dinner is the best time to go because the wait is not long. Every time I have gone, I have never had to wait. So, if you are in a hurry to get a quick meal in, Sake Lounge is the perfect place for that. Another reason why I enjoy Sake Lounge is because the service is great. The waiters and waitresses are super kind and provide the finest service they can. Moving onto pricing. If you are not familiar with oriental food, you may think these prices are too high compared to just grabbing a cheeseburger at Applebee’s. However, for high quality Japanese food, the prices at Sake Lounge are reasonable and affordable. Sushi is an expensive food in general no matter where you buy it from, so, Sake Lounge is no different. Plus, the quality and amount of food you get is worth it. Instead of just buying some not so good sushi at the grocery store, spending a few extra dollars for some high standard sushi is the way to go. The next reason why Sake Lounge is the top on my food list is because it is perfect for any occasion. For my 16th birthday, I decided to take a few friends out to lunch. A few of my friends were not huge fans of the uncooked foods they serve there, so, they ordered some cooked food like chicken kabobs and fried rice. They absolutely loved it and said they would for sure go back in a heartbeat. The other half of us went with the sushi boat. Like I said before, the boat is perfect for sharing with multiple people. In conclusion, I give Sake Lounge a complete 10/10. This is because of the great atmosphere, food and service. Never think twice about going to Sake Lounge, you will absolutely love it!
The next and last restaurant I will be discussing is another one of my all-time favorite restaurants here in Kansas City. This restaurant is Spice and Rice. They serve a wide variety of authentic Indian food. Like said as before, if you aren’t a fan of Indian food, Spice is Rice is not the place to eat at for you. Unlike Sake Lounge, they do not serve any alternatives for customers who do not like Indian food. Personally, I am a huge fan of Indian and food from out of the United States. But, if you are a fan of Indian food, Spice is Rice is for you all the way. Because Spice and Rice is a buffet, you have many different options of the best Indian food. Some examples of food they serve are, chicken tiki masala, curry, spicy wings Indian deserts, drinks, and so much more. Who wouldn’t want an all you can eat Indian buffet, right? My all-time favorite food to get at this restaurant is the chicken tiki masala, naan bread, spicy wings and the vegetable curry with rice. All of the flavors in the buffet compliments each other so well. So, when I go, I get a huge plate of many different foods.
Spice and Rice is the ideal place for a casual lunch and or even a fun night dinner with family or friends. The reason why I say this is because the atmosphere of the restaurant is super casual yet very nice in the inside. Because of the buffet, it is a place that works well for large amounts of people which is convenient, so you do not have to sit and wait for your meals. Now, moving onto the service they provide at Spice and Rice. The workers at Spice and Rice are super friendly people. When you walk in, they greet you and ask how your day is going as they seat you at a table. A while back, my mom and I decided to grab a quick lunch. Our waiter provided us with free desert drinks which completely made our visit nice. In conclusion, I give Spice and Rice a solid 10/10. There are many reasons why I give this score varying from service, quality of food, the atmosphere and etc. If you are thinking about grabbing some food at Spice and Rice, trust me, you won’t regret it.
In conclusion, the main reason for these reviews was to persuade you to step out of your comfort zone and try some new food. Sake Lounge and Spice and Rice are two phenomenal restaurants that you need to try. You will have a great experience and you can quote me on that!
