The end of 2021 was filled with new partnerships and opportunities. We explored the intersection of traditional art and blockchain through launching a tokenized physical art collection, continued educating others about NFTs, and announced our roadmap in the next three years. Here is everything noteworthy that happened last month:

BitPinas Webcast Episode 2 Featured Speaker

On December 2, I was one of the featured speakers of The BitPinas Webcast, a #CryptoPH Weekly Show. I talked about Ownly House of Art’s Tokenized Physical Art Exhibit entitled Exploits & Effects and we gave away 200K $OWN Tokens to 5 Viewers.

2. Official Launch Tokenized Physical Art NFT Collection

Last December 3, we held the official launch of our Tokenized Physical Art Collection called Exploits and Effects. It was a successful celebration of local talent, advancement in art and tech, and a supportive community. Local government officials, artists, and other blockchain-based entrepreneurs attended the launch.

The collection made by Dan Vincent Barotilla, Glenn de Guzman, and Camelo “Mel” Baranda centers on the unseen chaos of the human mind. It is also the first collection released under Ownly’s physical gallery called Ownly House of Art (OHA).

3. Ownly X Ayala Malls Partnership

One of the biggest conglomerates and mall operators in the Philippines is our partner in our Exploits and Effects exhibit. Ayala Malls Legazpi has been the host of my creative ventures, including art fairs, seminars, workshops since 2018. We aim for a fruitful and impactful partnership with them in the following years.

4. Ownly X Art Toys PH Partnership

Art Toys PH is a premier platform established in 2016 for art toys, designer toys, and collectors based in the Philippines. Last month, we built a partnership with them in supporting the art community by providing high-value workshops.

5. Art Toys PH NFT Workshop

Last December 18, I hosted an NFT workshop in collaboration with Art Toys PH. It is one of our goals to reach out to artists to demystify NFTs and help them learn where to mint their art and how to market it to possible collectors.

6. University of Makati Event Guest Speaker

Last December 7, I talked about NFTs during the University of Makati College of Computer Science I.T. Trends event. I believe it’s essential for the younger generation pursuing a future in the tech industry to learn about emerging innovative solutions such as NFTs.

7. 2022–2024 Roadmap Announcement

On December 21, we unveiled our three-year roadmap comprising our plans for the future. It’s important to us to share this with everyone in our community so that we can look forward to our projects and milestones together. The roadmap also helps us remain focused and accountable.

8. 500M Own Buyback and Burn Celebration

On the last day of December, we burned a total of 500 Million OWN tokens. That is 5% of the total token supply! The event is part of our quarterly buyback and burn program for our hyper-deflationary token and our bold target of burning 3B OWN in the next three years.
