Introducing My Own: the smartphone tool for investors
In an important step towards making the equity market more accessible and transparent, Own is launching a new smartphone application for investors.
My Own enables investors to monitor their holdings on-the-move and carry out corporate actions, including voting resolutions, through their mobile device — even if they hold shares in multiple companies.
Investors are sent push notifications when new votes go live and can cast their opinion digitally, with all data uploaded to Own’s blockchain to ensure it is immutable and secure. Watch our video to find out more about My Own’s capabilities:
We will continue to develop My Own’s features as we move towards creating a single investment management tool that can take care of everything from issuance to trading of shares, including crypto payment services.
To offer investors access, companies must be users of our Decentralised Share Register, which is free to join. They will be sent a unique confirmation code to share with their investor base, who can download My Own from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
