Have you heard that we’re hiring? We’re looking for unique people to fill a few new and upcoming roles at Oxford Hub for next year. You can view all of the available positions that we’re currently recruiting for here.

There are so many reasons to apply for our roles — but we’ve shortlisted our top choices for you in this post!

1 You’ll get to make a real difference.

We’re a team committed to working for a more equal Oxford. Working at Oxford Hub means you’ll get to spend time every day working to improve our city for the people who live and study here — it’s a rewarding atmosphere, and you’ll be working alongside equally passionate and driven team members to support you.

We believe that by building supportive, long-term relationships between members of the community in Oxford, we can create a stronger city — there’s a reason that social is one of our organisational values! You can find out more about how we measure our work over on our website here.

2 You will work with tons of great people.

Working at Oxford Hub you’ll get to meet and connect with people from all over Oxford, from all different walks of life. From chatting to residents in our community living room, to working with university students starting their social action careers, and meeting with teachers in local schools, our staff team unanimously agree that the wonderful range of people you get to meet through Oxford Hub are what truly makes the job special.

3 We are small but ambitious.

With eight members of staff, we are small enough to be daring and ambitious, but big enough to have an impact. You will have a say in critical decisions and ownership of your own projects, while being part of a bigger movement working to engage more people with social action in Oxford.

4 We have a wonderful office.

Based on the vibrant Little Clarendon Street, our office is notoriously comfortable. Whether you’re having a cup of tea and a catch-up with an Oxford Hub member, or you’re getting comfortable to blast through some emails, we’ve got an excellent range of seating spots to choose from — there’s always a sofa on hand.

5 …And we’ve got great neighbours!

This year we relocated to Little Clarendon Street — right next door to the wonderful Common Ground! If you fancy a hot chocolate or an espresso, they’re only a few steps away. They’ve got some lovely morning yoga classes too if you’re an early riser.

The lunch options are great, too — you’ll be spoilt for choice on Little Clarendon Street!

6 We offer flexible working hours.

We believe that we get the best out of our staff when they can structure their time in a way that works for them. We offer flexible working hours so that our staff can start and finish their days at times that suit — this means that our team can go on lunch-time bike rides, take part in afternoon volunteering, and finish work early on Fridays.

Whether you’re an early bird who likes to hit the email inbox at 7am, or a night owl who would rather take mornings a little more slowly, you can design your day in a way that suits you.

7 We have an Oxford Hub dog!

Raasay can regularly be found making a guest appearance in our office. Come and say hi!
