I’ve always wondered how it would be to go vegetarian. I’ve heard of people going vegetarian before and I’ve always felt like I would struggle. Now I have the privilege to go vegetarian for a month. I might be hungry for meat but it’s worth the risk to save the planet.

To be honest, I chose to go vegetarian for the fun of it. I've heard a lot of my friends doing it even before this project and I’ve always wondered if I could do it too. It seems pretty hard but I always love to challenge myself because I am a very competitive person. In addition to that, I will do almost anything to save my planet, my home, and the home of others.

Another reason why I choose to go vegetarian was to be healthier. I do a lot of sports so it could benefit me if it could make me stronger and help me run faster. Maybe it will help me to gain some weight. It can also help with reducing the risk of a heart disease. And it may help me to keep a low blood pressure.

Lastly it could benefit Earth. For example, 51% of the greenhouse gases are from animal agriculture. I learned this from Cowspiracy. We eat a lot of meat, which makes producers make more meat and the more meat the more greenhouse gases and the more greenhouse gases the more it ruins our Earth. This is a super bad thing because don’t you want your kid’s grandchildren or the next generation to live a happy life to be able to see the glaciers in the North Pole? Well, if so, then EAT LESS MEAT.

In conclusion it might be SUPER hard not to eat meat but you have to remember it also benefits you by making you healthier, saving the planet, and for it just to be fun! So I think that going vegetarian is a cool thing and I will keep you updated. Follow me, Leah Blanco, to read about my fun adventure being vegetarian!
