Finally Done!

This was a very difficult project but I’m finally done! I only used 1 gram of plastic the entire month (in the form of a straw and wrapper). The average american uses 6992.9 grams of plastic a month, about 15.4 pounds, and I used 1 gram! If everyone in the world did the same project as me for one year, America could save 269 billion kilograms of plastic. That is a lot of plastic. Every year there is enough wasted plastic to circle the world four times. We do not need that much plastic. Besides, plastic does such horrible things to the environment, this project is worth it. I am going to continue with this project, though just not as strictly as before. There are many ways to reduce how much plastic you use without that much difficulty. Try some. Plastic production is expected to quadruple in the next three decades, so by reducing the amount of plastic we use could stop that statistic from becoming true.

Plastic is everywhere, ruining habitats and endangering species. Everyone should think the next time they buy plastic products.
