FINALLY… or not

This experience was amazing but it will be nice to finally eat meat again. Going vegetarian this month made me realize that I need to cut down on my meat consumption. So, from now on I’m going to be more cognizant of the amount of meat I eat. Later on in my life I may even try to be a vegetarian or a pescatarian.

As you see below, in these 28 days I have saved 5 pounds of beef, so in a year I would save 67 pounds of beef.

My sister decided to go vegetarian and really loves it.

Another thing I am very proud of is my sister because when I said I was going vegetarian for a month my sister said she wanted to as well. So even when the month was done she decided to stay vegetarian and now her main reason to be vegetarian is because she does not like when animals are killed. My sister printed these pictures that said “I’m me, not meat” and had a picture of a chicken or a cow or a pig. Then she walked around the house with these photos and protested because my parents said it would be too much work to go vegetarian. Then I realized that I made an animal activist. I am very proud of my sister.

In conclusion, I would like to thank Ms. Riggen, our teacher, for this great experience. I have learned and grown so much in this class.
