Before I talk about being my experience I want to give a shout out to Whole Foods because they have helped me with this process and I would also like to thank my mom for helping me go through this transition. So this is my third week as a vegetarian, not too bad. Initially I didn’t think I would make it, but look at me now! HA! Its actually not that bad, I do miss certain dishes (like arroz con pollo/carne asada),but I substitute it with other things that I really like. I’ve been doing more to become active, I decided that if I am changing my eating habits might as well change my lifestyle as well. I work out daily all while keeping up with my sports, which surprisingly takes up 6 days of the week for me! My only real “day off” is Sundays. I might just continue this change even after the project is done…we’ll see.

My family has been really supportive, especialy my Mom. She cooks EVERYTHING with vegetables and fruits, she even makes sure to pack a “vegetarian lunch” for me. I appreciate that. I’ve got one more week to go, hopefully I dont fall into temptation with spring break and the holiday coming around the corner. Since I know my Family will probably have a lot of cook outs and festivities in general. I’ll try really hard to stay strong, but i know it’ll get tempting. Something that I hadnt tried is tofu which is a substitute for meat , I was scared to try it because what if I cheated by eating this thing? (I didnt) We’ll till next time …. I hope you guys have a great Easter.
