After many topics including a recent science field trip on water quality and testing I started realizing we as Americans overuse and overlook many of our resources that may become limited in the next few years.

We need to reduce our water use if we have any chance of sustaining any water sources for the future and next generation of human beings. If action isn’t taken soon then by 2025, two-thirds of the world’s population may face water shortages, making forests all the more crucial to our future.

Total freshwater and saline-water withdrawals for 2010 were estimated to be 355,000 million gallons per day or 397,000 thousand acre-feet per year (acre-ft/yr).

Freshwater withdrawals made up 86 percent of the total, and saline-water withdrawals made up the remaining 14 percent.

Here someways to reduce our water usage

  1. Shower Bucket
  2. Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth
  3. Turn off the tap while washing your hands
  4. If it’s yellow, let it mellow
  5. Fix your leaks
  6. Water fact: The average American household uses 400 gallons of water per day!
  7. Re-use your pasta cooking liquid
  8. Head to the car wash

And many more tips to save water so we better save environment an preserve any necessary water we can so we prevent any water reduces in United States and anywhere it will be task for us all.
