Muddled Symbology

grey rock,
moulded by
environment,
yet sure in itself;
or
symbol of purity
in untouchable sky,
falling into
reality’s grime,
ephemeral ideal
blending into expectation;
and then we smilise
half the population;
on the scales of worth
we’ve chosen
the wrong weights…
