I love 2017 not because everyday was bright and well.

But because I’ve never been so unapologetic to live the way I’m living.

Because for the first time — in my 22nd year of living — I’m finally at peace with myself.

I’m finally capable of being here.

Being there, when I needed me.

Countless moments when I truly appreciate how I deal with crap in life, and how much I was able to give to others— moments when I admit my weaknesses and try to fix the way I mistreat others; moments when I value my intelligence better than irrationality (but also vice versa); moments when I feel like I could make the best decision, simply because I know myself so well.

Never have I been so honest and confident of who I am and who I am not.

2017 was a year of moving and meeting new people, allowing unfamiliar energies from others to flow through you; a year of not getting stuck in your own protective frameworks of what’s right and wrong; a year of destroying rigid thoughts but also being proud of them when absolute sanity is needed.

I still have no plans to make any new years resolutions, other than living the way I’ve always wanted to, unbothered and shamelessly true to self. I thank my past self 1000% for bringing me to this current stage in life —knowing there is simply so, so, so much ahead.

💛
