I miss you lately.
Your physique, the way your coat would fall from your shoulders
heavy and strong, before leaning down to invite me in.

Maybe you were more attuned to me than I was,
maybe you felt what I didn’t let myself. In all your chaos,
you found a way in, deeper than I would have liked. A way that is still there, like a footpath I used to walk on, disappearing in the changing season,
grass growing long and tall, reclaiming the space it once shared.

I don’t know about staying or going, but I can hear my heart reasoning,
and I am sure there is much unknowing to do.
