Dad’ Do Dream
Oh, how wonderful it is today.
T’was just an imagination,
Up until yesterday,
A dream waiting for permission.
Tale says you are tough;
But the experience just made you strong.
I know you play hard and rough,
Perhaps, only to correct our wrong.
Time changed of what you are now.
A memory filled with of us all.
You wiped the tear delivered with sorrow;
To brighten our night away from gall.
You did well to raise us up,
A character that is afraid of God.
You left us beside a road from your map.
So, we can follow the light with your love.
You did change our world and opened our eyes,
To see who is responsible for this beautiful life.
Stood your ground as they called you wise;
For you will not lift a finger and carry a knife.
A beautiful dream of yours,
Went and flew through the sky.
Soar and opened your doors;
While, we wave and said goodbye.
The gentleman we ever cherish;
For my late years, I will resemble the man.
Aspirations may perish;
But, we will carry while we still can.
I thank you; for now,
And I’ll keep the love till I see you again.
Beyond words, grateful for what you sow;
Surely, we will miss your reign.
As you go and enjoy the rest,
Spread your wings and keep in your mind;
To see me at the west; when the sun sets.
Standing, smiling; there you’ll find.
