You are the music
The soft cadence of a soloist
That is amplifying to become an extravagant opus
Within you stir the echoes of all that ever was
Or all that will ever be
Your resonance
Is a serenade of vivacious colors
Your rhythm
Is an orchestra of unconscious thoughts and dreams
Your hymn
Is the canto of a timeless and enduring choir
Your song
Is calling and calling to me
Until in unison we sing
Our harmonious recital
Our chant of praise
Our concert of admiration
Offering all glorification and honor to God
The maestro
Of our whispered and poetic refrain
The conductor
Of our measured and splendid dance
The great composer
Of our canon of cooperative existence
If flows from you
It flows from me
Into an elegant performance of faith and time immortal
Gently surrounding all creation with song
Our collective heartbeats measure out the tempo of life
We are the stanzas of all God’s creatures
We are the same song.
