“Peach and Glass”, Georgia O’Keeffe, 1927

A baby bite
Of peach
Falls apart
In my mouth
And releases
The smell
Of childhood.

Up through
The nose cavity
Up through
The pineal gland
To a place
Where all the people
I’ve ever loved
Are dancing
To the wafts
Of the little bite
That reminded them
Of lives passed.
