Credits to the Titanic (1997)

Love is an action and a lifestyle. It’s doing something for someone because they need it, not because they or you want it. Love is selfless sacrifice and unconditional.

  • It is not emotional, it is not romantic, it is not heroic.
  • Love always does what is right.
  • Love is not vengeful or jealous.
  • Love is respectful.

Love is not dependent or obsessive, smug or intolerant. Love is honest and sometimes harsh, but always true. There are two kinds of love: emotional love, which is being in love with someone, and sincere love, which often comes after emotional love.

According to Google, the definition isn’t wrong (below), but words alone cannot be used to describe such a powerful word.

When you’re in love with someone, you’d be caring, sweet, and think of that person all the time. When you love someone, not only are you sweet and caring, you live your own life and are still independent. There’s no need to talk to that person all the time or be with that person every waking moment.

Love is letting that person live his or her own life and living your own. Love is telling that person the honest truth about things. Love is understanding, self-respecting, and pure.

Before you can love others, you need to first love and respect yourself.

Love is not an addiction. Love is not an obsession. Love is forgiving.
