SparkPoint had a busy month, with a number of major accomplishments and updates. As we push through the mid-year and enter the 3rd quarter, let’s take a step back and look over what happened in the month of June 2023.

The company participated in the National ICT Month celebration, showcasing its blockchain development services and the game that it is developing in collaboration with MetaSagaWarriors. SparkPoint also co-organized the second installation of the Albay Business Mixer, where it also presented its innovative SparkTech Development Services to the attendees. The company also launched a new feature on its SparkSwap decentralized exchange that allows users to instantly transfer tokens to their wallet address after swapping them on SparkSwap.

1. SparkTech.Dev takes part in the National ICT Month celebration

As part of its participation in National ICT Month, SparkPoint joined a weeklong exhibit at the DICT Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City. The exhibit has showcased SparkTech’s blockchain development services and the ongoing game project, MetaSagaWarriors. SparkPoint’s team also entertained guests and spectators and answered any questions about the company and its work.

The team’s participation in National ICT Month is a testament to the company’s commitment to using ICT to empower the community and for companies, startups and other enthusiasts to stay ahead of the curve with technology. The company believes that ICT can be used to connect communities, enrich lives, and forge a better digital future for the country.

The future of ICT in the Philippines is bright knowing that the government is also committed to investing in ICT infrastructure.

2. SparkPoint co-organized the 2nd Albay Business Mixer

The Albay Business Mixer was a captivating event designed to foster connections, interactions, and networking among entrepreneurs and esteemed local business leaders, and took itplace on June 7, 2023, at Señoritos Restaurant.

The event was led by the collaborative efforts of SparkPoint, Ownly, and TheGoodWill. SparkPoint, presented its innovative SparkTech Development Services to attendees, showcasing how these cutting-edge solutions can elevate their businesses and facilitate the adoption of blockchain and web3 technologies.

The event also featured notable industry figures, including Jeanifer Bilango, Coins.ph’s Country Manager, and Mark Vernon from Tagcash. These influential leaders captivated the audience by sharing their platforms and solutions, inspiring attendees to explore new possibilities and forge meaningful connections.

The Albay Business Mixer was a great success. It sparked new collaborations, partnerships, and exciting opportunities for all participants. The event served as a catalyst for fostering partnerships and driving the development of the local economy.

3. SparkPoint at the World Trade Center for the Internet of Things Conference 2023

The Internet of Things Conference 2023 was a three-day event that took place in Pasay City, Philippines, from June 26–28, 2023. SparkPoint, HAKA Naga, and other organizations took part in the said event. The goal of the conference was to unlock the potential of the Internet of Things (IoT) for participating companies, organizations, and individuals.

The event also featured a number of presentations and discussions from government leaders, CEOs, founders of various companies, and other IT industry players.

The IoT Conference 2023 was a great success. The event provided attendees with insights into how IoT is shaping the future. The presentations and discussions were informative and engaging, and the packetHACKS competition was a great way to showcase the latest IoT innovations.

4. SparkPoint presented SparkTech.Dev services at the digiLINK event

SparkPoint joined DTI Camarines Sur and HAKA Naga in promoting digital transformation during the recent DigiLINK event held on June 27, 2023, at the Atrium, Robinsons Place Naga, Camarines Sur.

SparkTech Development Services were presented to show how digitalization and blockchain technology can elevate businesses. The services include Web3 and blockchain development. HAKA Naga’s President, Mr. Ronald Bong A. Rodriguez shared his insights on how HAKA Naga is fostering technopreneurship in the Bicol Region and beyond and also shared their vision of creating an inclusive ecosystem that encourages startup founders from both local and global origins to thrive.

The DigiLINK event was a success. It was a great opportunity for SparkPoint to showcase its blockchain development services to local MSMEs and to engage with key stakeholders in the Bicol Region. SparkPoint is committed to supporting the digital transformation of businesses in the region.

5. SparkSwap open beta trading competition winners

With the conclusion of the SparkSwap Futures’ Open Beta Trading competition conducted in the whole month of May, we congratulate the participants especially the winners of the mentioned competition.

The success of the competition is a one big start for SparkSwap Futures as it demonstrates the potential of DeFi and DEXs to disrupt the traditional financial system. It also shows that there is a growing demand for decentralized platforms that offer users greater control over their finances.

6. SparkLearn EdTech hosted Legazpi Startup Showcase

The Legazpi Startup Showcase was a one-day event that took place on June 17, 2023, at LCC Superama in Legazpi City, Philippines. The event was organized by SparkLearn Ed Tech, in partnership with Legazpi LGU, Legazpi City Information Technology & Electronic Commerce Council, Albay Information Communications Technology Association Inc., Department of ICT PH, DTI Philippines-Albay, and Southern Luzon Technological College Foundation Inc.

The goal of the event is to promote the Legazpi startup community with younger generations, students, and educators by sharing knowledge and data about the city’s startup ecosystem and it will also provide opportunities for young people to learn more about the startup world and how they can get involved. The event featured presentations from experienced professionals, as well as workshops and networking opportunities, and a panel discussion where SparkPoint’s Senior Marketing Specialist, Shane Sarza, participated as one of the panelists. The discussion was about the challenges, success and lessons learned of startups.

One of the highlights of the event was a presentation by ICP Manila and SparkLearn on the role of technology in startups. The speakers discussed the power of disruptive innovation and the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) Blockchain. They highlighted the features of ICP and how it can benefit local startups and the Philippine government.

The Legazpi Startup Showcase was a valuable event for the many senior high school students who attended. The event provided them with a wealth of information and insights about the startup world, particularly in the field of blockchain technology. This could be an opportunity for them to explore to build or join startups in this industry. It is exciting to see how the Legazpi startup community continues to grow and thrive in the years to come.

SparkLearn EdTech is grateful for the active engagement of the participants of the Legazpi Startup Showcase, the company is committed to supporting the startup ecosystem in the countryside places, especially Bicol, and it looks forward to working with more partners in the future.

7. SparkPoint CTO attended Starknet Toronto Meetup

The Starknet Toronto Meetup conducted last June 27th was a chance to connect with the local blockchain community in Canada and learn more about Starknet. The meetup featured presentations from Nico Rodriguez of Cafe Cosmos and Kacper Koziol of HerodotusDev. SparkPoint’s CTO, Rico Zuñiga attended to interact with Starknet’s team and other people interested in Starknet and its potential applications.

Overall, it was very impressive to be in the Starknet Toronto Meetup. It was a great way to learn more about Starknet and to connect with other people who are passionate about blockchain technology.

8. 75M SRK Tokens Burned during the Q2 2023 Token Burn Event

We have successfully burned 75 million SRK tokens for the Q2 2023! The total supply of SRK tokens has been reduced to 13,094,612,245 and will continue the burn until the 10 Billion goal is reached.

9. Development Updates from Team SparkSwap:

SparkSwap has made significant progress this month. The launch of SparkSwap Futures was a major accomplishment, and so is the addition of features to the SparkSwap DEX. The team has also made improvements to the SparkBridge and Multisender platforms, and the website has been updated with new features and content. Here are some to mention:

Multisender

A new feature was implemented that allows users to view and download their transaction summary after performing multisending or airdropping.
